💰Business Model and Revenue Streams

emoji™ Marble Dash uses a hybrid Game-as-a-Service model that combines classic free-to-play monetization with optional Web3 layers.

The goal is long-term sustainability without compromising fair play or accessibility. As players race, progress, and move through seasonal content, each revenue source supports the others.

📈 Revenue Streams

Racing Platform Fees

Ranked Mode races have entry fees, and the platform keeps 12.5% of each prize pool. The rest goes to the top finishers.

Prize pools increase as players move into higher tiers. This creates a natural curve where competitive progression also increases platform revenue.

Season Pass Sales

The Season Pass features 100 tiers:

  • Free Track: 25 tiers accessible to everyone (no revenue)

  • Premium Track: 75 exclusive tiers available for $14.90 per season

A new season launches every three months with fresh content.

NFT Marketplace

The platform earns 20% on secondary sales of all NFT and SFT items. Minting is always free, and the fee applies only when players sell their assets.

This fee supports the gasless infrastructure that makes trading possible and still leaves players with 80% of the sale value - a return traditional games never provide. Read more about the rationale behind the fee in the Marketplace section.

Tradable items include NFTs and SFTs such as Marbles, Ability Cards, emoji™ Boosters, Characters and Skins.

🔗 How These Streams Work Together

The revenue system is designed so that each part strengthens the others:

  • Racing fees drive competitive engagement, increasing Season Pass value

  • Season Pass rewards enhance NFT marketplace inventory

  • NFT ownership creates stronger engagement in competitive racing

  • Shop purchases help both casual and competitive players progress

📊 Scalability

  • More players directly increase all revenue streams

  • Higher progression means bigger prize pools and stronger competitive stakes

  • Web3 features add a premium revenue layer without blocking free players
