Frédéric Chesnais, Chairman & CEO, Crypto Blockchain Industries (CBI)
Frédéric Chesnais has several decades of experience in executive production, financing, and IP management. As a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris), he holds degrees in both finance and law. He started his career at Lazard Frères in 1995. In 2001, he joined Atari as part of its executive leadership. In 2007, he founded the production company I2G, which he later sold. He became the majority shareholder of the Atari Group in 2013, a position he held until 2021, after successfully turning the company around.
He is now the founder, chairman, and CEO of CBI, a publicly listed company on Euronext, specializing in blockchain-related investments and technologies.
Jean-Marcel Nicolai, Head of Game Division, CBI
Jean-Marcel Nicolai is a senior leader in video games and digital business with more than 20 years of experience in product strategy and large-scale operations. He has held executive roles at Hewlett-Packard, Atari, Disney Interactive Studios, and Centric Digital, and later served as COO and Head of Games at Atari Inc.
Today, Jean-Marcel oversees CBI’s Game Division, drawing on deep expertise across entertainment, technology, and high-growth digital environments.
Juan David Varón, Game Director, emoji™ Marble Dash
Juan David Varón is an experienced Technical Lead and Studio Director with over twelve years in game development and cross-disciplinary team leadership. He has scaled studios, led teams of 40+, and delivered cross-platform titles with strong technical foundations.
As Game Director and Co-Head of Studio at CBI, Juan David leads the development of emoji™ Marble Dash, guiding the game’s creative vision, technical systems, and overall quality.
El Dorado, CBI Game Studio
El Dorado is a Colombia-based studio within CBI, home to more than 40 developers, artists, designers, and blockchain engineers. The team focuses on high-quality games built for the metaverse, using blockchain tech, NFTs, and innovative game economies to create engaging Web3 experiences and strong player communities.
